40th Anniversary Concert

Thetford Singers celebrate 40 years of music making this year. All our 2014 concerts have featured music from different times in Thetford Singers’ history and our Gala 40th Anniversary concert is no exception.

This concert will feature Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “Hiawatha’s Wedding Feast” first performed by the choir in 1996 along with a selection of other favourites such as the “Les Miserables” medley sung more recently in Watton in 2013. But we aren’t just relying on our back catalogue – we will also include John Rutter’s “A Sprig of Thyme” which is new to Thetford Singers for 2014. An invited orchestra will help make this anniversary concert extra special.

Thetford Singers draws its membership and its audience from a wide are around Thetford and we hope to see old friends at our Gala 40th Anniversary concert. The concert starts at 7.30 pm and tickets £6 (£5 concessions) are available from Leaping Hare, King Street Thetford 01842 751975.
