Thetford Singers wish to recruit a Musical Director to continue the musical development of this popular local  choir.  The applicant must be in post by early September 2010 and be available to direct the choir during the academic term times.   A modest honorarium will be paid to the successful candidate.

Thetford Singers perform a wide repertoire and any newly appointed Musical Director must be an experienced SATB choir leader, able to work with professional soloists and other musicians for public performances.   We are looking for a Musical Director  skilled in working with singers with a range of score reading abilities and vocal skills and who is keen to develop the abilities of those with more to learn.    

The choir expects to offer three different public concerts a year and every second year perform with an orchestra.    Our first event of the academic year September 2010 to July 2011 is a Workshop, "Find your Voice", aimed at encouraging others to discover the pleasure of singing together.   This will be held on September 4th 2010.
